Welcome to Centro Escolar El Roble. We have begun a new school year and with it, a year that is full of opportunities.

This year represents a celebration for our school: this is our 40th year of existence and history. During these years, distinguished teachers and remarkable students have passed through our classrooms, who with the example of their lives have written our history. If we have come this far, we owe it to them. We will celebrate these 40 years with great joy, with different activities and events to which you are all invited.

There are many novelties we want to share with you:

Infrastructure: We have extended 10 offices in the Coordination of the PAI and IB areas, with the objective of improving the attention to our students. Also, we have built stands in the Snipe area to link buildings. We have improved the multipurpose room by equipping it with all the technology available, to make our seminars for parents better. Finally, the entrance area of the cafeteria was improved and a suspended ceiling was installed to have better lighting.

Technology: We have a new technological curriculum, which is structured in 4 areas: 1) Office automation and multimedia, 2) Digital Citizenship, 3) Programming, and 4) Innovation and creativity. In the equipment area, our students will have the following tools: fixed and mobile computer labs, a computer in each classroom, internet connection in all classrooms, traditional projectors and smart boards, MimioTeach for smartboards, MimioPads and clickers.

Academic area: We are very proud of the 31 diplomas obtained by our International Baccalaureate students. The highest average was obtained in the advanced English class and the second highest average was obtained in Mathematics.

Spiritual education: The goal to be worked on during this year is “loyalty”. It will be worked with parents, teachers and students. This year we will have informative meetings once a month with the objective of keeping a close relationship with the parents of the school.

I am proud to inform you that Iván Cisneros and Alvaro Villamar are both former students of our school.  Also, Carlos Chiroy graduated from the former school for teachers of Centro Escolar El Roble. All members of the Board of Directors integrate a team of professionals who are dedicated to serve you and your children.

We have a commitment with you, and it is to offer your children all the tools that are typical of a state-of-the-art school.
